Join us for the journey of Lent, a time of reflection leading up to the ultimate celebration of our Lord's resurrection.
Forgiveness: A Lenten Study
This small group–based study drills down into the meaning of forgiveness. Marjorie J. Thompson's book, Forgiveness: A Lenten Study, will be our guide, calling on a variety of voices—many of whom disagree about what it is to forgive and how far that grace should reach. In the end, the challenge is to deepen our own understanding of forgiveness and mercy.
Lenten Sermon Series
On Sunday mornings throughout Lent, the sermons will be related to the themes of the church-wide Lenten study, serving as a topical preview of the following week's reading.
Even if you're not following along with the study, you'll find that the sermon series will help you frame the season of Lent, a time for reflection on your spiritual journey.
You can catch up with the sermon series over here, with audio recordings of the Sunday services, sermon summaries, and related Scriptures.
Thoughts on forgiveness
As small groups progress through the Lenten study, they'll share their thoughts on the blog.
Soulfood concert series
Music drives the praise and meditation at Soulfood, a unique worship event series offered during Lent by Fine Arts @ FPC. These distinctive services reflect the belief that music feeds our souls, and they're followed by a community meal of good ol' Southern cooking.
During each of the three concerts in the Soulfood series, children are invited to explore the meaning of forgiveness through lessons and activities made just for them.
Programming is for pre-K through grade 5. Younger children are welcome to play in the professionally staffed nursery.
