What is PCHAS?

• An independent ministry commissioned by Synod of the Sun, Presbyterian Church (USA)
• Provides alternatives to children who have experienced trauma and cannot remain in their own homes.
• Provides children with a stable environment while addressing the physical social, emotional, spiritual and educational needs.

How You Can Make A Difference in the Life of a Child!

• Kickoff: Sunday, Nov. 20 in Fellowship Hall
• Angels available Nov. 20 - Dec. 9
• Christmas trees will have an ornament for each child
• Choose the ornament for the child for whom you wish to buy gifts
• 2+ families/individuals can sponsor a child together
• Write your name(s) & contact information on the “donor” part of the ornament
• Place “donor” part of ornament in Santa’s mailbox near the tree
• Take the part of the ornament containing the child’s information and wish list with you
• Purchase gifts for the child (It is not necessary to buy everything on list.)
• As you shop, check off the gifts that you purchase from the child's wish list
• Wrapping gifts is optional
• Attach tag with child’s name securely to each gift (if possible place all gifts into large bag)
• Please return the wish list (with items checked off) with the gifts
• Bring gifts to the Christmas pageant on Dec. 4, 6 p.m. OR
• Return gifts to church no later than Sunday, Dec. 11
